Lines connect artists that Spotify identifies as related — drawn from its dataset of hundreds of millions of listeners. Where Spotify doesn't have data, Last.fm's listener-overlap is used as a fallback. Connections reflect real listening behaviour, not genre rules or record labels. Node size reflects follower count.

Before we begin
The artist relationships you're about to explore are powered by Spotify's Related Artists and Last.fm listener data. That means actual humans — real, breathing, questionable-taste-having people — are responsible for every single edge on this graph.
If your favorite underground folk artist turns out to be three degrees from a stadium pop act, that's not a bug. That's the listeners. If two bands you'd never put in the same sentence share a direct connection, again — the listeners. We didn't do this. We just drew the lines they drew with their ears.
We accept absolutely no responsibility for whatever you're about to find. Godspeed.
